New Black Mexican Kingsnake says "Hi"
So. I have been wanting one of these for a while. I ran across a few older ones, but I have been wanting a younger one. And I finally got it. I looked at this snake and one other for a few weeks. When I handled this guy in the pet store today, it clicked. It cam to me with no problem from the employees hand and after it peed on me, curled up and was content. I brought it home. Here it is along with its enclosure for the time being till it gets a little bigger.
It was a little cold when we got home, but it still gave me a good pose. It is about 10 in. long (I think, will get a definite length in a few days) and pretty easy going.
The enclosure. Pretty basic at the moment. It is a clear 41qt. rubbermaid tub with a small Exo Terra heat mat, wood hide on the warm end, moist hide and water bowl on the cool end, and aspen shavings and the temp is 88.7*F at the moment on the warm end. It is still going up and I will be watching it for the next day or 2 to see if I need to change the heat mat out for a smaller or larger one.
Still don't have a name yet. Suggestions are welcome.

Sweet snake. I miss those guys! Very awesome.
For names I'd call it Starbright or whitey.

Beautiful king, I love the way all black snakes look. Congrats on the new pickup.

Next to the Eastern Indigo, MBKs are the most beautiful black snakes, in my opinion.
