New Snake! Lost!
Yeah lol... first time in years but I lost another one... The new snake i JUST got was sitting on my bed because i was cleaning the cage and i REALLY needed to go to the washroom so I closed the door and went.
A family member opened the door to get something without noticing and the snake escaped.
Checked all the usual places and layed some traps. Ill keep looking tomorrow but I'm exhausted right now, had a really long day.
I'm not worried overall but the vents were all open (air conditioning vents) because we were laying new wood floors. I'm hoping the snake had the smarts to stay out of cold aluminium tubes (I turned off the AC) and I'll undo the pipes tomorrow and check there.

Re: New Snake! Lost!
Tore apart our AC/heat pipes and nothing, checking inside the furniture and behind the fridge. All drawers and under the beds, under the stove and kitchen cupboards... No luck!

Taiwan Beauty snake, It is a fantastic climber, and can get into really small spaces, its about 7.5 feet long but for some reason it only puts its head in the hides, always sleeps with its head under the substrate for some reason lol.

Re: New Snake! Lost!
Dang, that stinks!
Lay down a heating pad, plug it in, put a frozen mouse on top of it, and spread flour all around. The snake will be drawn to the warmth and food, and then when it leaves it'll leave a trial in the flour that will give you somewhat of a general direction of where it went.
It'll most likely be hiding somewhere dark and warm if it eats to help it digest.

Re: New Snake! Lost!
I have heard of snakes being found in computer towers, a subwoofer speaker and the back of a chair!
Hope he turns up.
