Newest addition :)
Hey everybody!
This is Mikha. I adopted her today from a shelter. Her mom was a ferral cat. Mikha was the smallest in her litter and was born missing her front right leg. I've had her for just over a couple hours now and she's already hid under the dresser, tried to climb up my leg to get onto the bed and meowed non stop for 45 mins. :P
Here is a link to a picture of her from the website of the place I adopted her from http://photocache.petfinder.com/foto...516057-1-x.jpg

Re: Newest addition :)

Re: Newest addition :)
It might sound silly but a cat carrier with a warm blanket/heating pad put in it will make her feel somewhat safer than a "big new place" would. I know when I brought my cat home for the first time for a shelter she liked chilling in the carrier I brought her home in...though not so much anymore LOL

Re: Newest addition :)
!@#$%&* adorable. Glad my fiance isn't awake to see this. we have 3 already haha. One was adopted from a big box store, one was a giveaway and one was left in the men's room at the local home depot :/ Love those eyes! Most black cats seem to have green or gold eyes, in my experience.
I embedded the pic. hope that's okay.

Re: Newest addition :)
His eyes will probably change color as he matures. Most baby animals are born with "blue" eyes like that.

Re: Newest addition :)
I think she was just tired yesterday. she meowed all night and climbed my suitcase and then tried to climb up the side of my bed. i didn't want her on my bed because it's a good 3 feet off the ground and i didn't want her to fall off or get stuck between the mattresses and the bedframe. this morning she got me up at 6 meowing again, silly girl. and then i brought her up onto the bed after clearing her off a half to see if she would settle down, nope, she thought then would be a good time to get crazy hyper and start attacking my hands and knees and the blankets. she's such a sweetheart.
She has the shoulder joint but no leg, it's kind of interesting, she'll try to move her shoulder as if there was a leg there, like when she's playing, it's really neat to watch. later today I'll try to take some more pictures of her, but in the meantime i hope she isn't tearing apart my room

Put all your money in your pocket and give yourself a 3 layer duck-tape belt to keep it there:P
