A progression thread of a different kind...
Well 1st off, i was going to put this in the "enclosure" area... since it is a type of enclosure... lol
my fiancée and my self just got our 1st house... it is defiantly a "fix-ER-upper". Her dad owns a rental house and we got it from him.
We are completely cleaning out the inside, washing walls, repainting, and doing some remodeling of our own, and me being the photo **** that i am, i took over 60 pics of it so far, i will just however start off with a few, seeing how i have to go to work tomorrow...
Here are a few pics from when we 1st started ( Wed. 5/2/11)
AS YOU SEE.... there were some bad spots on the wall, that i filled with puddy and sanded out to make it smooth.

I love that style of house - we see them on TV all the time and always say how nice they look. Love the idea of a veranda to sit out on as well as a house that isnt just boring red bricks

Nice! Do you know how old the house is? And do you have a snake room picked out? And if your friends are painting while you are at work, I hope you didn't leave TOO much beer in the fridge.

Re: A progression thread of a different kind...
congratulations on getting your first home together,i say home because that is what your now making it into
it was a house
its a pretty nice looking big place you got yourselves
my wife and i had a bottom flat in a building that contained 6 flats
waynes been to the uk and seen how we live in big long walls with doors in them (its pretty grim )
whats the american equivilant of a block of 6 flats mate ?
your new place looks like a wee dream come true
just being nosey, but have you set a date for your wedding ?
i hope you both spend many happy years in there
all the best with the moving (i hate the hassle of moving house )
cheers shaun

If they are on top of each other then it would be called a high-rise with apartments or condos in it, but if they are next to each other then they are called Town-houses.
And if they're on one level inside a building then that's called a Motel.
