New Home for Adelina

I don't know if I have shown all of you the new improved setup for my little hognose Adelina. Hopefully tomorrow when she is up and about I will be getting new pics of her out and about enjoying it.

Re: New Home for Adelina

LOL I was wondering if anyone would pick up on the TV in the background!

I know that eventually I will have to replace everything once she gets bigger but to me that is half the fun of owning and raising a baby snake! Not to mention the snake itself enjoys new decor. Such good enrichment!

And Tea isn't that rock thing just the coolest?!?! There was only one left in the store I went and I totally snatched it up. I just wish it was 2 times taller and bigger. Want one that will cover the entire back of my tank!

We tried to give my Hog some new things, but he didn't take well to it! We ordered a hide for my leopard gecko that ended up being too small so we gave it to Boss instead. He immediately started hissing at it and mock striking it.

I was unfortunately unaware that Exo-Terra hides were a main predator of the Hognose snake. Who knew?

THAT has to be the funniest thing I ever heard! Poor little guy has some self esteem issues me thinks. To be honest though my girl hid underneath her water dish for a day after the new setup since it was the only thing familiar. I was so afraid she might go off feed for it. Thank goodness she didn't. They can be so finicky and funny about things like that sometimes.

Re: New Home for Adelina

I always "troll" various big and small pet stores and feed stores in my area. Look for anything interesting regardless if it is made for reptiles or not. I am hoping one day to do a garden theme with some broken pottery and such. Its fun, to me, to design cool habitats...when you have the cash for it that is.

Actually thinking about getting a 30 gallon tank (or using the one the rats are in when they are no longer with us) for my Adelina when she gets older. Just so I can have more room and have more fun!
