a good deed

i did something very good i feel anyways i saved a turtle a red eared slider that a guy i know had he has had it for a while now and well has no time for him he was going to drop it off in a pond at a park near where i live so i took him in i dont have enough room for him or anything else but i didnt want to c him die. So as much as i hate to do it i will be taking him/her to an adoption place this way some 1 will be able to give him/her a great home and life

Re: a good deed

Do multiple generation CB herps which would normally be able to hibernate still "know" how to do it if released?

Yes they do.

They are pre-programmed by instinct and it would take more than a "few generations" for that instinct to evolve away.

It's like saying a plant will forget how to grow in a field. Things that don't think don't learn and don't forget.
