Jungle Jaya Jag

I've been out of snake keeping for a while but kept a nice female jungle. I just bought this guy to hopefully breed to her in a couple of years and he is a screamer. I wanted to show him off to those who could appreciate a nice snake I think he'll be nice and yellow as an adult with alot of orange in his pattern (the Jaya blood?)

Here is his future sweetheart (about 50 times his size)

Beautiful Jag and Jungle. They should give you some sweet babies.

Re: Jungle Jaya Jag

Thanks for the complements. He is around 5 months old. He is very yellow. His grandfather was Bullwinkle and his mother was a trophy jungle from AC Reptiles.

you can see the potential in him right from the hatchling stage

he is one beautifull jag that orange is unusual its very nice and his patterns good

i look forward to seeing the 3 J's when you breed these 2

irian jaya jungle jaguars are very nice looking carpets

what percetage of irian is your jag ?

i'm guessing quite a high percentage due to his looks ?

its not often a carpet of this callibur come's up who bred this guy please ?

Re: Jungle Jaya Jag

He was bread by Anthony Caponetto (ACReptiles). Your are correct about his genetics. He is: 50% Jungle, M.s. cheynei, 37.5% Irian Jaya, M.s. harrisoni, 12.5% Coastal, M.s. mcdowelli. I feel very lucky to have aquired him. I was looking for a show quality animal with breeding potential as I plan to try my hand at breeding again (I've been out of reptile keeping for a while, other than a few leftovers from my prior collection) I contacted Anthony and he suggested this animal. Right place, right time I guess. Anthony is a great guy if you get the chance do deal with him.

He is eating like a pig and healthy as a horse. I will certainly be looking to make use of this forum members' breeding experience when he reaches maturity

Here is a link to info from Anthony's site with a photo of his slightly better looking twin brother. I am new to this forum and hope it's ok to embed links to other sites, but think its ok as I am not affiliated with ACReptiles.

That is a spectacular animal! If I remember correctly he only let a few of these gems go. Congrats!
