Leo Harness!
I've finally made Ryu a little harness so he can explore and I'll be at peace, since I worry about him escaping.~ I thought it'd be hard to get it on him, but it actually fits, works, and comes on easily! It also comes off easily as well(he typically slides out once I take out an arm).
I can draw a tiny little blueprint if anyone else wants to make their leo one. It's relatively easy, though I made a few mistakes and had to remake about 3 times. Ryu's is made out of soft fleece(I think).

Thanks~ c: and LOL, possibly. Mine wasn't too happy about it at first, he bit me while I was trying to slide it over his head, but he chilled out afterwards. Mine's a bit fussy, so I surprised about how quickly he calmed.

Re: Leo Harness!
i just got mine a week or two ago and the previous owner worked all the time and NEVER held him and i believe he's somewhere around 2 years old. so he is obviously NOT used to being held whatsoever and seems to be pretty skiddish. he usually hides when i open the top of his tank.

Ahhh, well, I'd personally say just try to, a few minutes a day, then gradually increase the time by maybe a minute per day. I heard some Leos can be tamed within a week if you handle them daily, even for a few minutes.

nice, i've been trying to give him a few weeks of solitude before i start the slow handling regiment. i'll prolly start handling him soon.
it's kind of funny to have abunch of nocturnal pets that only like to be social at night lol.
works out for me cuz im a savage night owl.

Ahhh, makes sense.
And I waver between Night Owl and normal. Sometimes I'm on a normal schedule, sometimes I'm on a nocturnal schedule. ;<

Re: Leo Harness!
What a cool idea! I have seen flight suits for birds, so, why not a harness for a leo. Great ingenuity!

Well, I certainly can't take credit. xD Several months ago I stumbled of a video showing their leo on a self made leather harness, similar in design. I was waiting to get my hands on some nice leather, since it's probably not as easy to break or have threads unravelling... but fleece is working pretty well. I can always make another.~

Re: Leo Harness!
Very good idea, I would think it would be a lot softer than leather. I think felt would also work!

Re: Leo Harness!
everytime i pick my leo up, day or night, he RAGES and does barrel rolls and riggles like a fish until i put him down lol. i've come to accept that he's not really a holdable pet. if i could work with him maybe, but he goes insane the moment i grab him, and if he's just on my hand he'll run and jump off.

Re: Leo Harness!
Aw TeaNinja If you hold him for a couple of min every day he will more than likely come to accept you. They are hardy and adaptable lil guys.
Cute harness One time one of my friends was handling my tang. He lost track of her and she got away, we found her in my sub woofer :P The harness is a great idea.
