boycott
i am totally boycotting the name ball python in favor of royal python it sounds better and is its original name who is with me

since you have techno fever and are a metal head might recommend Ruoska, they are a finnish band inspired by rammstien
on the subject, i kind like ball pythons better, but i am a crass person so i find ball jokes funnier than most

Belovedboas, you need to go to a reptile expo- the Ball python jokes fly like crazy. They got the common name "ball python" because of their habit of rolling into a ball when frightened. Royal python does make them sound more proper though. lol.

I think people outside the hobby recognise royal python rather than ball python, in my experience anyway.
However we all like ball jokes dont we???

My balls have never balled up.
I have one big ball and 3 little balls.
I like to let my balls crawl around the house.
When my balls get cold, they often curl up in a nice warm spot.
My balls love the humid box.
Sorry, couldn't resist...Rob, you're a bad influence LOL
I have no problem using Ball or Royal. At least stateside, newbs only know of BPs as Ball Pythons....you mention Royal Python and most are like "huh?" 
Oh yes, the techno-fever....do you like metal?! If so, I'd suggest some good ole Rammstein!

of course. i pretty much only listen to metal and some of its many off shoots such as death and speed metal along with some good ol post hardcore but techno likes to infect and take over my ears once in a blue moon

royal python- cool cause Cleopatra and its history
ball python- nickname because of its defensive posture which is cool because it helps people accept such a "frightening" animal.
