Proud daddy moment!
My four year old took a shed skin into school today to show her classmates. Ended up stood in front of the whole school during morning assembly and talked for twenty minutes about our snakes!!! Included a question and answer session - teachers and head master were all very impressed with her passion and knowledge.
Now i got to take the actual snakes in and do snake show!

Awesome! That must have made you swell with pride. It's so great when youth grow up understanding and appreciating snakes and other reptiles. Too many people have a fear ingrained into them from an early age without any good reason.

Re: Proud daddy moment!
Thanks guys, she is already asking to have "my OWN snake in MY room"!! Maybe in a few years time (especially ifmwe try our hand a breeding) then she can have baby corn to look after. We will see if her interest keeps going the way it is now.

Unfortunately not, had no idea it was happening, seemed to be a spur of the moment thing. The school are pretty good with getting pics of stuff like that so am gonna ask them Monday if they have got any and if so get some copies.

Re: Proud daddy moment!
Looks like my show will be early next year, the fourth term is about life and nature and how things grow/evolve so an ideal opportunity. I am gonna take our young corns, my adult corn and probably my SD as well. First job tho is to get thro the paperwork required to take a "dangerous" animal into a school!!

Re: Proud daddy moment!
I can imagine how much of a headache that paperwork would be. I hope you have fun when you get to do it though!

Re: Proud daddy moment!
Should be fine, the school are supportive so sure they will help. I really enjoy doing my little snake chats for kids. Their questions can be quite interesting sometimes!
