Smile bedding

I do not know what kind of bedding to use for my ball python Dakota. When we got her she had some wood stuff we were told to try the coconut blocks but at the pet store she said use a pine shaving I don't trust this lady she is the one who will not sell frozen and told me I should never feed a ball rats. So you can see why I am asking a collective of minds vs one lady who thinks she knows more then she actually does. Thanks nanna

Re: bedding

Personally I find mixing coconut and repti bark together I get a nice bedding that holds humidity.

Pine and aspen are very dry and tend to mold if you attempt to keep it damp.

Carefresh is nice and cushy, but dry, so I really don't use it for my BP.

Newspaper works, but is the least attractive to look at.

I have a picture, I'll dig it out and post it.

Re: bedding

We use repti bark for all our reptiles, easy to maintain, easy to clean, easy to change (about twice a year we do a full change) and holds humidity for those that need it as well as being "dry" for those that dont.
