my 2010 bp is about 18 inches long. should i put him in the 3foot cage or the 15x6x6. ive heard they wont eat if stressed in large enclosures. i have both enclosures plus more so i dont have to go and buy one but what do you suggest.
As long as you have adequate hides in the cage, the larger one will be ok. I would be sure to have a hide on both the cool and hot ends as well as one in the middle, so the snake can thermoregulate and still feel secure wherever he wants to be.
Our bp is about the same size - he is in a 4foot viv but around 90% of the floor space is hides. Large bark sections that he can easily hide under plus "cave" hides. He is eating ok and doesnt seem to be showing signs of stress.
