My new lavender albino red-tail boa
I'd never heard of this particular albino morph before, and I'm admittedly not much one for the albino boas. I found this fellow at the Havre de Grace show this morning, and was just stunned. He's got the colors of a lavender albino retic, but he's a boa. The breeder, Reptile Kingdom, said they have only ever had a few lavender albinos, and they tend to become more purple as they age. This guy is 2 years old and will be breedable this coming season. He's a big sweetheart to boot. He's very curious and friendly and laid-back. I just had to have him. It's hard to get the colors to really show in the pictures, but they give a pretty good idea of him.
I've got to come up with a good name. Any suggestions, guys? I was thinking Livewire, since my hypo male is Slowburn, but this guy is sooo laid-back I don't know.

Oh how beautiful is he!? That`s a proper looker eh! I`ll have to think about the name. Do you just want a cool sounding name ? Or something relating to the way he looks?

OK I`ll think up a few names for you. Some of them might sound silly or really abstract but that`s just a good brain storming session isn`t it hmm... Right...
I`ll have a think about it.....

Re: My new lavender albino red-tail boa
Thanks everyone...I keep staring at him- his colors just mesmerize me...lol. I have a lemon pastel BP already named Lemondrop, or that wouldn't be bad. He's actually not got much yellow though- it's more of a creamsicle color. I will get better pics today.

Re: My new lavender albino red-tail boa
I have seen a few purple / lavender looking albinos, I wasn;t aware that they had been given their own status, I think its just a variation of the standard albino gene. Very nice boa

Re: My new lavender albino red-tail boa
It might just be a variation, but it was labeled as "lavender albino." Honestly I don't care, his colors were what sucked me in..lol. I just hope he holds that nice pearly lavender as he ages. He's already about 2 years old and 3 feet long, so he shouldn't fade too much...hopefully.

If anything it tends to get more purple
I didn't mean to come across like I was having a go, just trying to help with the genetics
