i got a ball python about 4 months back from a friend left it behind as he could not take it along when he went back!! i have had no trouble at all and he is a gr8 fella.. but in the past few days he is acting weird and comes out of his resting area and tries to hide and sleep under the bedding every night.. is this normal or does this indicate in any way he is sick?? he has grown and his resting area is big enough for him to curl up into but is there a possibality that he is uncomfortable in it?? he has another card board box which is larger but does not get into it but prefers to rest beneath the bedding in the past few days
Tell us about the conditions in the enclosure: humidity, temperatures, where each hide is located. It sounds like he's seeking something he needs in his environment and the only way he can get it is by burrowing--possibly increased humidity, possibly a cooler spot . . . or maybe he defecated in the "resting area!" Also, when did he last shed? When did he last eat and what?
