hi everyone! a little help please

Hi there, I'm just new to this site so i hope someone can help me. I've just recently got a ball python his name is bud and he is about 9 months old. I didn't know that i should feed him in a separate place other than his tank. i have aspen shavings in his tank and i think one might be caught in his throat. he has been breathing a lot heavier lately and i'm not sure if its normal. his throat looks a little swollen and hes been opening his mouth like hes yawning a lot.

he also just had a bad shed and he has a bunch still around his neck. i think he might have a couple scales in his nostrils.

what should i do?
