hey guys, i havent held my sand boa for a bout 1 week and half or 2 weeks ( exept for taking her to feeding tank ) she was shedding and stuff and i dint want to handle her while she was shedding, now when i go to pick her up shes not really snippy, but she moves quick like she dont want to be help.. what should i do, she use to be REALLY socialble! please help
Most snakes don't really want to be handled. They tolerate it. You best bet is to just once a day go in and handle her for 15 - 20 minutes. Unless she's eating, then leave her alone for a few days.
Ha ha, those little sand boas can really move eh?? Just handle it. It will get better and with some time it will stop that trashing that they do. At least it isn't biting you
lol not bitting yet.. im not too worried about that lol... ive been picking her up from above, i read that im supose to pic those up from underneath, is this tru?
lol thanks anyway.. i got her out today she was sleeping and i snatched her up real fast just so i could hold her, she was fine once she was in my hand.. i just hate picking her up
i got it all under controll... what i did was went and bought a cheap pair of gloves.. i used those to get her out, and then just take them off.. shes getting use to me taking her out of the cage now... so were good to go thanks for everyones help!
