Rescued A Boa With Pictures

I rescued this beautiful snake. She has burns and scars from her previous owner but now that she has a home with someone who cares she will be taken care of=] She is over 5 feet and her name is Alexei, she hasn't been handled by people so shes aggressive but im working on it.

It might be hard going, but if you hang in there and handle the snake a little at a time, you should be fine. Just watch out if the burns or scars are sensitive. My old roommate rescued a boa that had a spot where a mouse had eaten through its scales and if you touched it watch out.

"burns and scars" ?? !!! OMG, I just don't understand some people! Why would someone keep a living creature and intentionally do it harm?

Bless you for giving this girl a good home.

Very cool. Good job taking her in.

Good luck getting her to calm down.

Re: Rescued A Boa With Pictures

I rescued her from a pet store that didn't care for her, she was in a tank with nothing but wood chips and buried in the chips was a crap she had taken. I just asked if they had any reptiles at a pet store that sold mostly dogs n stuff she cost 200 but for 200 i got a tank(55 gallons) stand, water dish, bedding, heat pad, heat lights, and light shields. It was a good deal but she was the only reason i even bothered with the other stuff
