Re: What Kind Of Geckoes

I'm no gecko expert but I'll take a stab. Looks like Coleonyx, Central Banded.

Looks like a Namibian Sand Gecko (Chondrodactylus angulifer angulifer)

Re: What Kind Of Geckoes

The gecko pictured is a Madagascar Ground gecko (debatable Paroedura picta or Paroedura pictus), likely with a regrown tail. They are also available in two naturally occurring variations - striped and banded, the latter reflecting the pattern of your animal. No offense intended, but I believe all the other attempts at identification to be incorrect. There a quite a few resources available of this easy to breed species. Below are a couple informative links . . . \

No offense taken here. I'm no gecko expert. I've never seen a Pictus with markings like that though. Aren't they usually a stripe or more pronounced banded pattern?

kriminaal vbmenu_register("postmenu_536231", true); , I do agree with you that the pictus does have quite abstract patterning compared to what is normally seen. Pictus are very easy to breed and raise, but most are still wild caught. Perhaps that animal just shows aberrant patterning, typical of many wildcaught counterparts. Maybe it could go on to start a new bloodline!

Take it easy,
Patrick

I don't understand. I forgot to add. Normal pictus look like that. Stripes are very common, but are not the only morph out there.

You are correct. Pictus are terrestrial, ground dwelling geckos. They do not possess the toe laminae that is present in arboreal species.
