Exclamation help costal on the rampage

Hi all my first time on this forum looks a good place to start by picking people brains, my problem is that i have a 3yr old costal carpet python and she has been my bigest pride and joy i have ever had, we have been through thick and thin together without any prob's until now, for the last past 5 week's she have taken a turn for the worst as i mean she have gone from my little princes to hell sainten as every time i go near the viv she strikes at the glass, people do tell me to take the bite but she not exactly small as i said she is 3yr's old and over 6ft in length and a head span as big as my fist
so wright this minnite she is very intimmadatin, has any one els been biten by one as big as my little angel.

p.s cool site by the way

Re: help costal on the rampage

So the real question is...what has changed to make her go from "handlable" to "can't touch it with a 10 foot pole"?

Was bit by a 6 foot boa once, it bleeds a lot! I imagine though that a bite from a Carpet this size will be worse than a boa of the same size, carpets teeth being longer since they regularily eat birds and are adapted for such.

Good luck man! I would invest in long snake hook if I were you! 2 would be better!

thanks but I'm not sure what has changed she seems to be happy enough in her Viv i haven't changed the surroundings so I'm not sure what it could be but i want to get her out but don't want to be on the receiving end of her teeth but i think i might just go and get her out if she bites or not at the end of the day we been together for about 3 years or more

Yah...I reccommend the whole snake hook thing. Maybe it's just getting her out of the cage.

Brad, snakeguru, has some nice ones.
