2005 melanistic and high contrast WP/IJ

I just love the differences in these WPs.

The first 2 are a pair from our melanistic line,

These 2 are a pair of high contrast babies.

Hope you like them,

Mardy McManus

Yes Alex the real difference is on the adults, but you can see how different
the first 2 and the second 2 are even a this age. I'll get some adult shots up for you.

Melanistic or just dirty/dark looking? I have a very dark female too but I wouldn't call her "melanistic". Have you proven the gene to be heritable?

Here's my "dirty girl"...

Here is my big "dirty" girl, i have always been curious about this melanistic "trait" is there such a thing i mean she is much darker than both my other ijs and many others that i have seen having more of a reddish chocolate hue to her dark spots, but she is by no means all black, under indoor lighting she bears a striking resemblance to Tim's "dirty girl", she is also pretty big for an IJ from what i understand coming in at around 7 ft.

Mardy's "melanistics" look great, b.t.w.

cheers
ORION
