Oh, how very sweet! And your photography is excellent. You are much better at capturing all those varying shades of pink, pearly white and everything in between than I am. Great shot.

Thanks, I didn't think that pic came out that well. I need to take a few more of him. He's got a little stub tail and thats partly why we got him.

Our plans for him are to help him grow big and strong so he can sire lots of babies from nadia, our normal corn who's het for snow.

Nobody ever seems to be happy with their pics of snows, blizzards, lavendars and suchlike. The coloration is so delicate it's a hard call between underlighting, overlighting and just right. Of course I haven't seen the snake in person but I think you've got the lighting down a lot better than I do!

Oh, and nothing wrong with a little stub tail, imperfections just add to the overall beauty of a fine snake. Both of my plains garters are stub tails and I look forward to next August or so when they might mate. Both are normal hets for erythristic and albino so the babies might be interesting. I'll show you my garter babies if you show me your corns, Lisa!

I
Got my snow male from Reptile Rainforest in June 2001 show I think...but he is a FAST grower!!! I have been more than happy with him.
He easily took adult mice by his first year, and I only fed him once per week. I believe he was over 40 inches at that time. Now he is slowed down on the growth but almost 50 inches if not 50 by now. He has also got the most gorgeous neck I have seen...really red saddles with blue/green circles around them. Really contrasts with his yellow orange sides!
I hope you have as much good luck with yours as we did ours!
Marisa

Oh I was happy with the lighting and colours. It was the composition of the photo itself. The colours in the pic match what I see in person.
Like the my other pic of him that I posted, I wasn't happy with it because he wasn't facing the camera, but I try to avoid stressing him.

Heh, we bought him because he had a stub tail, but I have posted a pic of his stubby. Yes, please post some pics of your garters, I've been taking more pics of Nikolai so I'll post them soon.
