I really can answere your question, but i have one for you. How long did it take your ringneck to start eating? I have had mine for about two day now. I put crickets in is encloser today. Do you know if crickets are good for them? Have you ever fed your cickets?

Pitviper... ringneck snakes DO NOT eat crickets. You can check out my website for a list of ringneck snake prey items. Knowing what your ringneck snake will eat depends on the sub-species you have. If you know the sub-species, check out my site, there is a list of the favorite prey items for each sub-species.

Since you are in FL, and you are young, I would assume you caught yours? Making it a Southern Ringneck Snake. Southerns are very easy to keep, they will eat fish out of a bowl, lizards, frogs and worms.

Patience is the key.

Muhahaha.... Are you sure you have a regal ringneck snake? Because the only prey a regal will eat are snakes and lizards. Where did you get yours from?

i caught mine in florida. it has red under the tail and the rows of ventral spots so i'm pretty sure its a regal, it looks exactly like the regals in the pictures. i was surprised he ate fish but he likes them and he's also eaten worms. he started eating a few days after i found him.

Muhahaha... you don't have a regal. You have a southern ringneck snake, which prey mainly on fish and worms, I've raised up dozens and dozens of them. I've never seen a southern ringneck that looked anything like a regal though.

Hey herperhelmz can you tell me if my encloser is ok? I couldnet find any flat rocks anywere. All the stuff in the encloser i found outside, except hiding spots and the water dish. You might not be able to tell, but for substrate i have soil and dead leaves, all from which i got outside.
