Unhappy Sick Gecko

My leopard gecko became suddenly sick overnight. She is about 1year old and has been an overall healthy gecko. Yesterday morning she was breathing fast and her eyes were wide open. Her feet and legs were swollen and she was dragging her back feet behind her. They still move some, but her toes don't. I brought her to the vet and after $66 she had no idea what it was- mentioned it may be hepatitis and gave her some antibiotics.

My last gecko exhibited these same symptoms and died within 4 days. I had just introduced this gecko to my male two days ago (I was always watching them when they were together and there was no physical contact/aggression between them). He does not show any symptoms, but was also in contact with my last female who died. Does anybody have any ideas what this is or how to help her?

Thanks in advance,
Lisa
