Question Switching

there are 3 candoia snakes and they are eating anoles right now, does anybody know of a way to switch them to mice?? anoles are not that cheep in calgary to use as feeders? if some one could help that would be great thank you all!!!

what you can do is drop the tail on an anole and rub it on a feeder get the scent on the mouse real nice and it will fool them into thinking is an anole, snakes are smart yes but can be tricked easily, try that and after awhile they will start taking mice with out a problem and then no more anoles, ive done this and seen it work, it may take time just be patient

when i was switching an ahaetulla to rodents, she wouldnt respond to scenting, so i ended up using disolvable sutures to sew some anole skin to a rodent. it worked, and eventually she responded to scented, and finally unscented.

Oh man... lol what an involved way of switching... 'it rubs the lotion on it's skin' Hahaha Whatever works though!

On another note, I know Roy has mentioned having success with stubborn candoia by scenting them in tuna juice... maybe that would work?
