Yeah, thats unheard of. They definetly bit him too. He wasnt just putting on an act. I saw the bite marks on the cottonmouth right after he got bitten. He didnt show any ill effects at all. We got to the house after I got off the phone with him after he got bit by the canebrake. He had clear bite marks on his finger. It was bleeding more though but he still didnt show any bad effects. I just remembered one thing though and I know it sounds like I am lying, but I remember he got bit by a copperhead a few years ago and it did nothing at all to him except swell a little. Maybe hes imune to snake bites?? We need to test it..just kidding. 3 bites by 3 different venomous snakes and no ill effects. Weird.
Highly unlikely. One has to have the antibodies in the blood to have an "immunity", and unless he is self innoculating (which isn't very practical with most vipers), he won't have those antibodies present. In all likeliness, he is just one lucky SOB and should stop playing with fire before he gets burned.

Yeah, hes just lucky. He quit looking for snakes as much as he used to after that canebrake bit him. My other friend was in south mississippi doing some tree cutting(hes the one we took the south mississippi trip with) and he stubbled upon a small cottonmouth. He said that he pinned its head down and the person doing the work with him started freaking out and he took his attention off of the snake and it bit him on the finger. This was a dry bite. I think alot of bites are dry but you can never be sure. One bite will be dry to the first person and then kill the next. That was a few years ago. So thats 4 bites that I know of that were dry.
