Hey everyone!

Long time no post!

Well some of you know I had to give away my collection...but that is long gone and that problem wont arise again. I WAS planning ong getting into it a few months back...but I lost my job (long story....) Well fate seems to be on my side and I got myself a Garter Snake right now.

I am lined up for a job at the local petshop (privately owned,) and if I do land it after awhile I plan on getting back into the hobby more avidly. My plans arent too crazy (like they use to be.) All I really see in my NEAR future are a few Corn Snakes and maybe a RTB. After college I plan on getting into larger specimens.

A quick ? tho......please dont judge me....but I was wondering if smoke is harmful to our reptilian friends. I mean it seems pretty obvious that it would be....but should I take extra caution as to where I smoke? I smoke on occasion in my room...but not often. I was thinking about it the other night and was abit worried. Even if it isnt that bad I plan on doing it outside from now on away from my reptiles. Well thanks.....

Talk to you guys later.

Don

Yup, gotta agree, not here to preach but those animals don' t need or deseve to be breathing in those chemicals that we already know are harmful to anything living.

Bear in mind also that humans have a defense mechanism - we are able to cough. Snakes, lacking a diaphragm, can't cough - so they have to just suffer with what we put into their lung.

Oh, and welcome back Don.
