You kinda asked a loaded question.
What kinda cham were you thinking about, as there are MANY that come in all kinds a shapes and colours and attidtudes.
One of the easier ones to start with would be a male vailed chameleon. I do say easier, as all chams require a fair bit of attention, skill and work.
Once you have youe mind made up about what kinda chemeleon, there are hundereds of care sheets in the internet. A quick google search will find you many hits.

I would suggest you read a few posts in the cham forum to get an idea of what equipment is listed and what's all involved in their care. You just recently got a monitor, and you're already looking for another 'challenging' herp like a cham? Please think this one over for a while before you jump.

And keep in mind that a chameleon will need a screened cage at least 3' x 4' and must be misted at least twice daily. An aquarium will not suffice. Generally, especially with the veiled chameleon, they are in NO way a species who tolerate handling. Although they may seem tame at first, adults tend to be very aggressive and any form of handling will stress the animal out. They need frequent supplementation and UVB lighting is mandatory. These UVB lights must be replaced every six months and can get fairly expensive. Overall, don't jump into a chameleon until you are sure you are ready.

Congratualations. Four lizards ... 0 chameleons.

Research it up hardcore and ask for clairifacations later about things you are not understanding ... there are plenty of sites that just list everything you need, care etc.

i have a cham.. and trust me there hard.. is you mom knowledgable about lizards.. if so and she has ALOT of time on her hands and doesnt mind cricketes runin around he place then thats when you should start reasearch...

expect to do 4 mnths reasearch 2 months construction and another month testing and looking for one that you like.. and after all that then expect to make ALOT of mistakes.. perferbaly no changes but alot of mistakes

i have 6 herps.. and i spend more time on the chameleon cage per day then on all my other cages combined..... it takes alot of experminting and time to get everything right..

if you mom is new to herps a crestie ( for aboreal ) or leo or fat tail (for terestial) may be more suited..

and the unfortunate thing is.. you AND you mom BOTH have to reasearch.. SHE MUST know what to do if a mistake is made...

If you get a young one, be aware that its small body size will mean that it can overheat more quickly than an adult and dehydrate more quickly too.

Also, be careful when watering a young one that the water doesn't collect in pools that might cause it to take water into its lungs when it drinks. (It doesn't happen often, but it can happen.)
