Reducing humidity ????

Hi Guys.

The humidity level in the rubbermaids is to high .How can i reduce it to 60?? Because it's now around 80.

Air it out and keep an eye on it so that it doesn't get that high next time. 80% is pretty high for just having it there, unless your ball spilled his water, and/or peed.

Should i make more holes in the rubbermaid??Ore use a smaller waterdish??I realy can get it lower than 80.

If your water dish is on the warm side of the enclosure, then move it to the cool end. I would suggest using a dish that still allows the snake to soak most, if not all of it's body. If you still can't get the humidity down, go ahead and make more holes, but make sure that you remember when your snake goes into shed, you'll have the get that humidity back up, so don't go popping too many holes into the sides. Let us know how it worked.

try a smaller water dish before you put more holes in the rubbermaid (it's pretty hard to fill the holes back in) and make sure the water dish is not on the hot side of the rubbermaid, that will help also.

It's strange because i have the water dish on de cool site.I will take some pics tomorrow so you guys can see if everyting is ok.I don't get it why the humidity is so high.Ore mabey the holes are to small.??Pffff i realy don't know.

I don't know if this would work, but maybe drill holes in the lid of the Rubbermaid, so you could cover it up with a wet towel or whatever when it comes time to shed? I don't use Rubbermaids so I don't know how well that would work, just seems logical in this little head of mine.

I drilled the holes a little bigger.Now it's down to 75.But i also notesed that hotspot is around 70.What do you guys' think?? Is the humidity still to high??

Ray, if your hot spot is only 70, you have much bigger problems than too much humidity. Turn up the heat (I'm assuming you have your heat supply hooked up to a rheostat/thermostat).

Mykee i mean the humidity around the hotspot is 70.The hotspot itself is 93F. On the cool end it's 80F and the humidity is 75.
Yes i use a rheostat.
