Ball happenings....
Well, while all the other snakes were just sitting around being loafs, the Ball Pythons were actually doing stuff. Here's some photos.
Last egg of the year hatching as of 9am this morning. Yay!
Here's a Het-Ghost (also a black-back) that Ian and I bought from Markus Jayne earlier this year that's on to his 3rd female now. He turned out to be quite the stud! Thanks Mark!!
Lastly, here's the Pastel just sittin' around lookin' like a Pretty Boy. Ha ha. I don't care, as long as he's not gay!! (not that there's anything wrong with that...).

A gay snake.... I think that there WOULD be something wrong with that, given how much the dude is worth.

The pastel looks amazing Jeff!
I'm glad the Black Back is breeding well for you. I've got his full brother doing the same thing here ...but he only gets one girl this year.
Congrats!
Mark

Thanks guy!
One girl? Man, that Ball has a rough life. Maybe he should travel to Male Ball Python heaven over here where every male gets as many females as the eye can see! Ahhhh what a life. OUCH, damn girlfriend! Ok, I was just kidding.

Well, being the Stooges that Ian and I are, we're just breeding the Het-Ghost to normals (to produce 50%) It sucks, but its kind of a side project that we didn't want to invest a lot of dough into. Plus it'll be fun proving out all those females in 2-3 years!!

Lisa:
They are cute little guys eh? It makes me so sad to think of the numbers of these little guys taken from the wild and shipped here in crates/buckets. I don't want to be a downer, but after witnessing these things hatch over the last 8 years, I just can't believe that they continue to be taken from the wild like that. Don't you all find it so sad?

Hmmm .. I think I would use a much stronger word than "sad" .. but I agree .. it is disgusting that so many are still wild caught. There are so many animals being captive bred .. we really don't need to add to what habitat destruction is doing.
