Question Regurgitating

Hi
My red-tailed boa constrictor recently regurgitated for the first time...Is this normal???

no, did u handle it less than a day or two after it ate?

What are ur temps and humidity like?

Nope, it's definitley not normal.

The two most common reasons for it are:

- handling/moving the snake around after feeding it.

- the temperatures are not hot enough for the snake to digest its food.

Not normal, or healthy for the snake.

If the regurgitaiton happens chronically, take the snake to a vet. Chronic regurgitation may be caused by bacterial infection (e.g. chlamydophilosis), fungal, virus, or parasites (e.g. cryptosporidiosis, nematodiasis, etc) to name a few.

I hope it was an isolated event, and that all is well.

I don't wanna say "normal" because regurgitation means that something 's not right. But, if it helps, Boas are known for doing that every now and then, so don't panic just yet.
