Distilled Water

Okay, I'm sure this has been covered before and I promise you I have done a search for distilled water, but I didn't really find an answer. Is it safe for reptiles? Not including amphibians of course. Will the reptiles be missing out on minerals and stuff that comes in bottled water? I'm asking this because I have an automatic misting machine and I noticed bottled spring water leaving heavy mineral deposits in the hoses and I don't want to clog up this pump as it wasn't a cheap system. Thanks

Mike

Do a search (on this site) for "reverse osmosis" without the quotes. That should help (or make it more confusing, LOL!)

distilled is tricky because people often confuse it with filtered

filtered water is ok, BUT distilled water or deionized water is NOT

if you do not understand animal physiology and chemistry, which you need to know to understand why this is dangerous, then google it to see for yourself

I'd recommend "drinking distilled" or "distilled deionized" as good search parameters on google
