shell chipped?

My miss map is a big baby and makes a super panicked "last chance dive to survive" every time he sees people when he is basking. Frequently he hits the glass in the comotion mid dive. About a week or two ago i noticed what appears to be a chip on one of the ridges on his carapace. I am pretty sure this would have happened during one of his dives.

the chipped area is the tip of the ridge is missing, and is white. Does this sound good or bad? Will this heal over with time, or is he forever scarred?

Thanks for any insight.

Geoff

question when your baby map dive into the water it hits the glass how deep is your water? Maps are extremly aquatic and llove the swimming room I know its just a baby but I would make the water line deeper so this does not happen anymore you never no if this persist something major could happen like tank cracking or map getting seriosly hurt.

no, he isn't literally baby. He is an adult. He just acts like a big baby and scares very easily.

Believe me, there is plenty of water. ~2 feet deep. He is hitting the glass above the water line, or just below.
