Hey Jeff!

Just saw you on TVO rescuing a number of painted turtles from a marsh in Orillia. When did this take place? Regardless, good effort and well done. Shoulda called me I would have loved to have come out for that.

I assume it was the Studio 2 show if it was on TVO? When was it on? They were supposed to let us know.

I posted something in the turtle forum just after we did it, late November, I think. I wasn't the organizer, and frankly, I didn't think we would be very successful. Amazingly, the next day was even better- we finished the weekend with 50 painteds, all released nearby. Sadly, I'm sure we didn't get them all, and the next day they started bulldozing.

Pretty neat wading around, punching through the ice to grab turtles!!!

Sounds like a productive venture! Just goes to show what can happen when you put a little effort in.
