Heat Bulbs - Chain stores

Hi there, just wondering if anyone used the infra red heat bulbs that can be purchases inexpensively from the chain stores.
Not the heat bulbs that come from the pet store.
I see ones at my local chain store, that are 175 watt, and are used to heat farms etc.

Just wondering what kind of temp it would give a 75 gallon tank, with a screen lid.

As opposed to using a 150 watt infra red, from the pet shops.
