is it true that by feeding your adolencent columbian boa small-med size rats it will only grow a max of 5-6 ft long?? please tell

i dont believe that its true. i think its the genes and how much you feed it will determine the size of the boa. husbandry may also come in play. its just my opinion

If you only eat happy meals instead of big mac meals will you stop growing? Same thing. Some snake keepers will keep their snakes cooler than normal and starve them so they stay as small as possible as long as possible. It was probably one these types of keepers that you heard that from.
If you want a small snake don't get a Colombian or any other type of Boa Constrictor.

It is genetics that determins the size of a snake. If you starve it of course it'll stay smaller. Thats also called crulety to animals.

Ive read a few times, it basically does not matter how much you feed it in relation to how big it ends up, but feeding "less". so once every 2 weeks as opposed to once every week, will just make it longer of a wait to see him full grown, but either way he is going to get to the size that is already set from his genes.

Right, wrong?
