Glue

Hey everyone...i just made a homemade screentop... and hot glued the screen to the fram....is this harmful for my snake...he is not exposed to the actual glue because it is on the top....but the basking lamp is over where the glue is....and there is a lot of glue,,,are these fumes going to hurt my snake....i cant smell it but i duno whats everyones opinion

Hehehe might've wanted to ask -before- doing it so ya don't poison your snake I don't know that I would feel good about using any glue around such a hot device as a lamp however. You may want to consider a more secure method of securing the screen, such as screws, bolts, etc. I've used hot glue to glue screen on to rat tubs, and it doesn't provide a very permanent hold, and that is without the pushing a snake may tend to do.
