Never heard of a Herpstat, I use Helix model DBS-1000 (6 of them) and love them all. They are by far the second best investment I've made in the hobby.

Ditto what mykee said except I have 2 not 6. What can you tell us about the Herpstat.
Cheers,
Trevor

Never heard of HerpStat, but I swear by Helix. I use the DBS-1000, and have yet to find fault with it.

I've heard the helix were expensive and since I only have a couple of corns I found something cheap. You may not beleive this but I used a waterbed thermostat. I got it for $19.00 on ebay. I don't like the way it makes the infrared light flicker so I found a Repti Temp 500R from Zoo Med. I haven't tried it yet but got it for my next enclosure. It was only about $15-$17.00 and has 2 recepticles for devices.
I got it along with a cool thermometer/humidity gauge combo from Petdiscounters.com.

Danny,
Be careful of that thermostat from Zoo Med... I have read countless posts of them going bad.. Also dont get the probe wet or let it be able to be drun in the water bowl.. They do not have a transformer to reduce the power from 120v do the probe is to be considered a "live wire",

Thanks Matt. I have the probe duck taped to the side so that it can't move. Just the end is exposed. I figured it had to be better than a waterbed control, even though they work pretty good, since it was designed for reptiles.
I'll keep an eye on it.
