Ringneck snakes....
Hey all,
Anybody in here that finds ringneck snakes, do me a favor and drop me an email at Helmz777@aol.com and let me know what state you are in and what ringneck sub-species you come across.

I seriously hope no one does this. It's the calling card of a poacher. If you find an interesting an animal, take a picture, enjoy the moment, and keep your sites confidential (unless you are providing information to the DNR).

I can assure you I have no intent of finding out exact locations as to where people find snakes, or what road/highway etc. is good for finding them. I put the message as simple as possible, I wanted to know what ringneck SSP you find, and what state you are in, not city, not zip codes, nothing that would really give away where you find the specimens. From there I was planning on asking more questions if the person was willing to answer for that state's ringneck locale data, still no info on where they are found, just average lengths, larger lengths, pattern abberancys, prefered diet, breeding data, etc. I am by no means a poacher.

D. p. edwardsii - Ontario
Normal pattern, sizes 7-14 inches, found under logs.
D. p. punctatus - Florida and Georga
Nromal pattern - 6-10 inches, found under sheet metal, rocks and wood.
D. p. acricus - Florida
Spent 15-20 hours searching in the known range, found none.

I guess Key ringnecks are infact difficult to find. Have you ever kept any ringnecks you found?
