LOL.........do you use this way to much?
Hi everyone:
I was chatting with some friends on MSN messenger in the last few days and then this popped up in my head. The short version of "laughing out loud" - "lol", gets used alot for alot of reasons half of which are not even about anything funny.
With all the net media systems like forums, chat rooms, chat interfaces and so on, how often is "lol" being used each minute, hour, day, month, and year.....this little acronym has to be the most popular little word used on the net.
I think I used it 100 times a month if not more.
LOL
Opps maybe 101,
Anyone else noticed this?
Cya...
Tony

*LOL* You don't say? I've never counted the number of times I've seen it used, but yes, it's often. *LOL* Look, I did it again! *LOL*

lmao (does that count )
Yes, I'm always noticing this.
On MSN I talk to people that are on webcam, and they say 'lol' and they don't even have a smile on their face.
Darren179 - Yeah, it's a habit alright; but I don't think this is one that can be controlled? lol
Okay, I'll stop typing here, because I feel like there are going to be more 'lol''s to come!

I know... the Mods / Admins should parse the DB logs and take a count of the number of LOL's that appear in the forums
Lets get a number
LOL
