T. s. keyserlingii "Giant Frog-eyed Gecko" Pictures

I got 'em this afternoon. A sexed pair of Giant Frog-eyed Geckos, Teratoscincus scincus keyserlingii.

Meet Molly:

and Ducky:

They've got the cutest faces

They're so curious, have spent the last couple of hours exploring all the caves and digging in the sand. I expected them to dive into a corner and hide for a while, but they seem really outgoing for geckos whose world has just been turned upside down.

I'll try to get better pictures in a few days when they've settled down and they're showing their colours better.

Damn, damn, damn I wish, I wish I picked up that pair for 120.00$ at a local pet store, they looked awesome too.

Very nice pair Hilde!

They are awesome geckos. I have always had a thing for them. The orange on their backs is stunning, and those eyes are just cool.

Did you get them from Rob?

Yup, got them from Rob. I think they probably know you, Ryan. Want me to say "Hi" to them for you?

When I walked past their enclosure this morning before the lights went on, they were mating! I knew they were mature, so it's not surprising that they're ready, but I've only had them 2 weeks. There's no way I would have expected them to have any thoughts of mating this soon.
Baby frog-eyes are among the cutest geckos, even cuter than cresties (but I won't tell that to my cresties ).

I bet they are, I am surprised at how fast some geckos mate when they are put in a new cage. When I got my 1.1 skunk geckos they were kept in seperate containers while I brought them home (45 mins) and then I put them together in there new cage and theey started to mate right away. I don't know if the male was stating his dominance incase more males were there or what?

They are great little geckos, I thoroughly love the pair I have now. In fact I will soon be picking up another adult pair. You have to love the attitude, mine are more defensive than Tokay Geckos. I'm cooking some eggs from them at the moment, but I think they are duds.

Good luck with yours!

Awesome additions Hilde! Teratoscincus have always been a favorite of mine and are lots of fun to work with (just watch your fingers ).

Wow, truly awesome addition

I've had my eyes open for some time now, trying to get hold of a pair.. I just love the eyes and the fishy scales :P
