New Asian Rat snakes!

Yeah! They're here- arrived safe and sound this afternoon. Snapped a few pics before letting them settle in.

Kunasir Island rat snake (climacophora)

Red Bamboo rat snake (coxi)

and the Vietnamese Long-nosed rat snake (Rhynchophis boulengeri)

They all came from Stephen Emerick at Napa Valley Snakes in California who hatched them this year. The Red Bamboo is such a visually striking little snake. I think even people who don't like snakes in general might have to admit hes' pretty.

Great looking asians!!
I love that coxi you have.

I have been looking for those for a very long time~
I have also been trying to look for the Chinese Bamboo Rats....but can't seem to find them anywhere.....

You also got those snakes from a great guy too~
Stephen is a great snake breeder!

Good luck with them!!

Congrats on your new additions Lora, they all look awesome! Especially love the coxi -- I'd definitely love to get my hands on a pair of those The boulengeri is really cool too though... best of luck with all of them!

Wonderful coxi and long-nosed!!! Those are a pretty good choice in asian ratsnakes indeed! Have you considered the bamboo snake or the red chained ratsnake?

phil.

I'm hoping for a conspicillata (Japanese Forest ratsnake) one day if I can ever find them captive bred and not costing both arms and legs! And of course mates to the new ones in a few years...
The Elaphe porphyracea vaillanti (the Chinese Bamboo) are also very beautiful but hard to find...
I'm just keeping my eyes open and saving my money My wish list keeps getting longer instead of shorter!

Thanks for all the kind words. I'm hoping the new snakes will thrive in my care.
