Humidity

I'm having a hard time keeping humidity up with my boa. I have a screen top on there right now, but as you know, thats no good for keeping up humidity. I can get some Lexan plexiglass waterjet cut in any shape and size I need from work, with all the cut outs I need. I was thinking about getting that cut and then siliconing it in on the outside of the screen top that way I can still use the screen to to clamp into the sides of the tank. Does this sound like a good idea or is there another aestheticaly pleasing way to do this? Also at about what percentage humidity should i keep the cage at?

ok thats good
I'm new to reptiles but I'lm somewhat experienced with scorpions so i don't really know that much about boas. I know my emperors have to be kept at about 85% to 90%. 50%-60% should be no problem.

Like SnakeFetish said, 50%-60% is ideal. Bcc's/Bci's are my favorite type of snake. Good temperment and they have a great feeding repsonse. Good luck with you snake. Post some pics if u can.

I also have trouble keeping the humidity in my tanks up. I used to mist my snakes to keep humidity up, but i found a better way. I went out and bought an inexpensive humidifier at a local store. I put the humidifier in the room that my tanks are in and this keeps the humidity in the whole room as high as i want it. This works very well because the tanks stay at the same humidity as the room.

Another way that i found works well is to put a big wet sponge on top of the tank if u have a grate top.
