Thumbs up Some Bull and more Bull

Hi everyone:

These are just a few photos I found and thought interesting to show. In my opinion both are cruel demostrations of mankind on animals. But some people and cultures think otherwise of course.

The 1st is called flying bull because this was in Spain of the running of the bulls and this fellow found its way to close to the docks and while chasing its friendly humans it went straight after them right into the water way as well. Talk about wanting your target at any cost.

The 2nd is in Colombian where they stage free style rodeos. Here 3 are trying to prove there masters over the bull. Most likely the bull will get free and teach 1 or 2 of them about grabbing the tail, lol.

Like I said I think both are situation of cruelty to animals, my 2 cents.

Cya...

Yup, and anything that the bull does to them is their problem. I've said it a thousand times. You don't ride a bull, you BBQ a bull. No need to put them through that sort of abuse.
I'm against circuses and rodeos too.

yeah I also do agree that it is cruel but it is also a part of a culture that I don`t really understand, just like many different cultural rituals.

The bullrun has been done for more than 150 years in spain. It is the leading of the bulls to the circle for the amature bull fight. For the first 50 years there weren`t any deaths involved with the practice. Then once it became an increasingly popular event tourists became attacted and created more problems and danger not only to themselves but to the animals.

There are actual laws sorrounding the event which include procations taken for the safety of spectators and the animals.

The rules include: do grab onto, harass, hit throw things impale or obstruct their exit enclosure by any action during the amateur bullfight.

If you do any of the above and are caught - it is an offense punishable by law.

However since this is a week long festival- people (mainly tourists) are intoxicated and do not abide by the rules - mostly by ignorance and create this whole stigmatism that the bulls are ment to be mistreated when on the run.

Its sad for the animals on some points but then again it is a very interesting ritual - which if follow correctly is no different than our N.A. rodeos

YDNIC:

I myself am 1/3 Spanish and even though its part of my culture I still think its cruel. The reply you did was good with information as well, thanks.

Anyone, if ya think Rodeo is cruel but like BBQ, visit a slaughter house sometime & check out the "Killing Floor" & you will realize how big of a hypocrit ya are or better yet go visit a Veal operation or any Chicken or Pig farm. Animals suffer for our purpose be it entertainment or otherwise on a far huger scale everyday than Rodeos etc. Facts of life. Mark

Yes but Mark in the end we get to eat them. During the production of food is the lesser of two evils when compared to suffering simply for entertainment purposes.
Cheers,
