Tail first

Is it bad if my BP likes to eat his dinner rear end first?..I think it looks kind of weird.

my guys done it a few times also!! Mostly when he's really really hungry! You know like when i've made him wait 4 days since his last meal!!! LOL Mostly he gets it right but I don't think it does anything but take them a little longer gettin' around the hips!

I have a blood here, that insists on eating his large rats backwards, he'll actually drag the rat around by the tail or a hind leg for a long time before eating.
Very weird!
Its like some kind of ritual.

I would think that theres a slight possibility of the legs somehow affecting him to swallow correctly, but in most cases they will spit it out or figure out some way to get it down.

if you are worried, Have u tried using hemostats and getting him to eat from the head?

Lol .. don't worry too much. My BP tried eating his first rat leg first. !! He grabbed it by the front leg and just started gulping it down. He sat there for a while with a rather confused look on his face (it's true .. it's true ) and then finally spat it out and found the pointy end.

My ball and my Cal King both seem to be but men...they bite in the middle and just work their way to the end to eat it. If it's the but (which is usually is) then they eat it that way. My Cal King has given up on a mouse more than once because he could not get it turned once bitten and subdued.
