My ex and I adopted a painted turtle that "fell out the sky". My ex father-in-law was out in his yard and heard a thump and went to see what was going on and found the turtle. It only had a slight crack in it's carapace and was none the worse for wear. I thought that a crow or maybe a seagull picked him up somewhere and ended up dropping him. We kept him for a long time before placing him in a new home.
I not only adopt unwanted and abused animals I also have them fall literally into my care lol
