Lengths...How are they measured?

I was wondering how lengths are measured/based? Like is it snout to end of tail...snout to start of tail....snout to mid tail... any general ideas.

Like bearded dragons are 20-24 inches...my guy is 21 inches including tail.

Does it apply to all reptiles or just some?

Anyone?

Two ways that I know of: "Snout to Vent", and "total length". If they dont specify which one they're talking about I would assume total length, but I'm not sure about that.

Don't forget, if it's male you have to exaggerate the length.
