Chances are slim to none you'll find anyone in Alberta. The only one I know with any success at all breeding Uroplatus is Neil Meister in NS. I had a few U. fimbriatus hatch, and even managed to get one to mature, but they're not easy, probably the trickiest of the Uroplatus.

ive been looking here in the states for a while now and just gave up, i saw one at a reptile show recently for a hefty price and no longer had the tank space for him so decided against it, since i already had bought 5 tanks and had no room for any more in the car (haha been to 2 shows and both shows came back with hundreds of gallons worth of tanks in an 98 oldsmobile ninety eight funny sight really and over 5 hrs trip from each show to spot me just look for the fool hauling multiple tanks in their arms)

Concept, come down to Calgary and check out Tanks A Lot. Talk to Gary, call 403-259-8265. Or contact Neil Meister and ask him if he has any available, his will be CB. I think Gary if he has any will be long term captives not sure. I think I remember him saying something about being CB. He has lineatus, fimbs, and henkeli there. I'm thinking about getting some Phantasticus from Neil in the next month so email him at geckomeister@eastlink.ca and ask. Maybe we can split shipping costs if you are getting something from him. Let me know.

Oh ya, Gary works at tanks a lot. Sorry. He's also kept Uroplatus and lots of them so if you have questions he'll have answers for you. Neil Meister is also a really good guy to deal with.

Looks like it might/will get even trickier finding Uroplatus now.

Yes, I believe CITES is even more then just north america. Could be wrong though.

CITES is worldwide. It is enforced by just about every country.
From a hobbyist point of view, it 'sux' big time, but from a species perspective, it's good to prevent exploitation. What we hobbyists have to do is get busy learning how to breed them in captivity, so there is a silver lining to this new CITES rating.
