hehe... i took the pics at night when they are nice and bright, of course. Why DO they change colour at night?

Hmmmm.....

What makes you think that they change their color at night? Maybe that's their natural color and the day Rainbow you see (when they are NOT active) is the one with the changed color?

Beats me? Heat absorption? Camouflage? Fun?

They retained a good amount of pattern, very nice!! As for colour change, there are many theories, but nobody actually knows the reason for which snakes usually lighten up at night.
