Differences?

What are physical and mental differences from the Marajo Island Rainbow boa and the Brazilian Rainbow boa?

I don't think there is much difference. Same species. Both are very similar from what I have come across.

Everyone has their own idea of what "attractive" is. This is something only YOU can answer for yourself.

Marajo Island (E. c. barbouri): Darker, duller orange colour. Black ocelli (ring like markings) are wider, less round and saddle shaped...found on Marajo Island off the Northeast coast of Brazil.

NOT readily available in the US for sale...not much is known of them, so you won't find much on their temperment...but I would imagine it's close to that of a Brazilian.

Brazilian (E. c. cenchria): More variety in colour...background colour varies from brown to orange to bright red. Lateral ocelli (rings) don't usually have centers, and are usually simply black rings. For now, albinos, anerythristic and calico mutations ('morphs') are known.

Readily available in the US and Canada for sale, anywhere from 200-300$ Canadian, or 150-250$ American. depending on colouration.

Happy Rainbow-ing,
Heather

Country:
According to the very few people that have kept Isla Marajo rainbows, they tend to be larger than Brazilians, and on the darker side. However, from all the pics I have seen, they were all mpre purplish than orange. I was hoping to find a way of aquiring some of these snakes a few years ago, but as far as I know, nobody is working with them up here. I don't know of anyone producing them in the states either.
