im using Verilux 48" tubes mounted 17" away from my RES'es basking spot. is there any studies on this type of lighting for reptilia, and if you use them or somthing similar, what is your experience withthse and the reptisuns?

Basically the verilux lights produce very little uvb. The reptisun 5.0 and the iguana light are probably the best flourescent tubes out there. Also both these bulbs are the smae bulb just with a different package.
thanks, im buying the reptisuns/iguana lights, fo' sure!! i knew plant bulbs just wouldn't cut it. How often do you reccomend replacement? also how far should they be from the RES and a new adult beardie im getting?
